Rainfall
· With rainfall a little higher than the long term average, we find that only 3 winters have been wetter in the past 13 years, though 40 have recorded more rainfall since 1886.
· With just 3 days of snowfall, this has been the most snow-free winter in Coventry since 1974-75 (2).
· No mornings recorded any snow lying on the ground at 0900hr this winter – this is the first time this has happened in the city for 10 years.
Sunshine
· With sunshine records dating back to 1894, this has been the sunniest winter on record in Coventry, beating the previous record from 1999-2000 by two hours.
· There were six mornings with thick fog at 0900hr during this winter, the highest incidence of winter fog since 1995-96 (9).
