
This is our new electronic rain gauge, which measures the amount of rain which has fallen. The readings from the rain gauge are recorded by a data logger. The data logger can be accessed by telephone line, and the information stored upon it downloaded on to a PC.

This is the old tilting siphon rain gauge, which evolved a pen rising as a container filled with water collected. The trace of the pen would be recorded upon a chart which was wrapped around a drum which rotated once every 24 hours.
